BASIC RIDER COURSE 2
BASIC RIDER COURSE 2
This one-day course is designed for riders with a permit or similar knowledge and riding experience who are currently riding on the street and feel ready to pursue a motorcycle endorsement. This one-day course is approximately 8 hours long. It includes classroom instruction covering safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge. The range exercises cover cornering, swerving, stopping, and hazard avoidance. WA 2 Wheel Motorcycle Endorsement Knowledge and Skills testing is included in this class.
A two hour MSF eCourse is included, and completion is required in order to receive a course completion card.
Important: Registering for this course means you must ALREADY POSSESS the basic skill and ability to operate a motorcycle safely. The required basic skills include stopping, starting, shifting, low speed turning and competent braking of a motorcycle. Please also review the course descriptions for the Basic Rider Course so you are confident you’ve chosen the right course before registering.
The BRC2 is an 8 hour in person class
Use of a training motorcycle is included in the course.
Endorsement level knowledge and skills testing included in the Basic Rider Course 2.
Permit level testing is NOT included with the BRC2.
*Riders must either have valid WA Permit Test scores or a valid WA Motorcycle Permit in addition to Endorsement Test scores to obtain a WA motorcycle endorsement.
*While highly recommended, classes are not required for riders 18 and older before taking permit and endorsement tests.
*Before booking a BRC and BRC2 in the same transaction, please see our cancelation and reschedule policy. We recommend riding a minimum of 1000 miles on the street between these 2 courses.
*U18 DISCLAIMER: The DOL is not currently recognizing the BRC2 as a license waiver course. U18 students must take a BRC in order to fulfill the education requirement for a motorcycle endorsement. Students under the age of 18 must have a guardian sign our waivers at the beginning of the first class, or have them notarized in advance.
*A student may be dismissed from the course for a variety of reasons. Please review our polices and dismissal warnings before registering for a course.
