*To qualify for a motorcycle endorsement, both passing permit test scores, or a valid permit are required in addition to both passing endorsement test scores. We encourage but do not require students to take the BRC or pursue Permit Level Testing before attending the BRC 2. 

*While highly recommended, classes are not required for riders 18 and older before taking permit and endorsement tests.

*Before booking a BRC and BRC2 in the same transaction, please see our cancelation and reschedule policy.  We recommend riding a minimum of 1000 miles on the street between these 2 courses.

*U18 DISCLAIMER: The DOL is not currently recognizing the BRC2 as a license waiver course.  U18 students must take a BRC in order to fulfill the education requirement for a motorcycle endorsement. Students under the age of 18 must have a guardian sign our waivers at the beginning of the first class, or have them notarized in advance.

This course is designed for beginning riders and riders returning to the sport. Cascade Motorcycle Safety offers courses at locations in the Bellingham and Skagit area. State subsidized classes may be available to persons with a Washington state driver license (Washington resident). This class takes 18 hours and includes both online classroom (3hrs), in person classroom (5hrs) and riding time (10hrs).  The eCourse covers material including controls, gear (helmets, gloves, suits, boots, etc.) and street strategies (lane positioning, swerving, hazard avoidance, etc.). Classroom allows you the opportunity to put the strategies to work in engaging activities delving deeper into good motorcycling. During the range portion of the class you will get to put the classroom material to work. Using bikes provided by Cascade Motorcycle Safety, you will begin by learning where the controls are, including the speedometer, clutch, turn signals, electric start, front brakes, throttle, neutral light, and kill switch. We will then progress through basic riding skills such as starting, stopping, shifting, and turning. Finally we will run drills that teach hazard avoidance and emergency reaction skills. Permit level testing included with this course. While highly recommended, classes are not required for riders 18 and older before taking permit and endorsement tests.

This one-day course is designed for riders with a permit or similar knowledge and riding experience, who are currently riding on the street, and feel ready to pursue a motorcycle endorsement. This one-day course is approximately 8 hours long. It includes classroom instruction covering safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge. The range exercises cover cornering, swerving, stopping, and hazard avoidance. WA 2 Wheel Motorcycle Endorsement Knowledge and Skills testing is included in this class. Riders must either have valid WA Permit Test scores or a valid WA Motorcycle Permit in addition to Endorsement Test scores to obtain a WA motorcycle endorsement. A two hour MSF eCourse is included, and completion is required in order to receive a course completion card.

While highly recommended, classes are not required for riders 18 and older before taking permit and endorsement tests.

Important: Registering for this course means you must ALREADY POSSESS the basic skill and ability to operate a motorcycle safely. The required basic skills include stopping, starting, shifting, low speed turning and competent braking of a motorcycle. Please also review the course descriptions for the Basic Rider Course so you are confident you’ve chosen the right course before registering.

Our Street Strategies Day is a full day of safe, FUN, learning on the road course at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. This is your next level in street motorcycle training. Each lesson reinforces the basics, and takes you to the next level in developing your street riding techniques. You’ll finish the day with expanded skills and confidence to make your street riding easier, safer, and more FUN.

We offer private lessons by the hour for all motorcycle riders. Whether you are interested in a one on one introduction to motorcycles or expanding your riding skills we can help. Use of one of our training motorcycles is included in our Private Lessons. You can also use your motorcycle as long as it has liability insurance. A motorcycle permit or endorsement is not required for private lessons.
